These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Event Horizon mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Event Horizon, you confirm your agreement to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Event Horizon is a "Sentient Productivity Engine" that provides high-precision routine management, task tracking, and location-gated alarms. Some features require a paid subscription ("Event Horizon Pro").
3. Subscriptions and Payments
3.1 Pro Features
Access to certain premium features (e.g., unlimited routines, advanced integrations) requires a subscription.
3.2 Billing
Subscriptions are processed through the Google Play Store via RevenueCat. You agree to pay all fees associated with your subscription through your chosen payment method.
3.3 Refunds
All purchase transactions are handled by Google Play. We do not provide direct refunds. You may request a refund through the Google Play Store under their applicable policies.
4. Safety and Responsibility (User Acknowledgement)
4.1 Lockdown Features
Event Horizon includes a "Lockdown" protocol designed to prevent the dismissal of alarms without specific verification (e.g., NFC scan, QR code, or safety timeout).
By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are responsible for ensuring your "Safety Timeout" and "Safety Gating" (GPS) settings are configured correctly.
- The Service is not intended for use in situations where immediate access to a mobile device is required for emergency purposes.
- EVENT HORIZON IS NOT LIABLE for any damages, missed appointments, loss of income, or emergency situations arising from the inability to dismiss an alarm or access device features during a Lockdown session.
4.2 Alarm Reliability
While we strive for high precision, background processing and notification delivery are subject to many factors (e.g., battery optimization, OS updates). We do not guarantee 100% reliability of alarms and recommend secondary systems for critical life-safety events.
5. Third-Party Integrations
Event Horizon offers optional integrations with third-party services (e.g., Reclaim.ai, Google Maps, Tasker). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of data provided by third parties.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security-related features of the Service (except via provided safety protocols).
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
7. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (excluding User Content) are and will remain the exclusive property of Event Horizon and its licensors.
8. Data and Deletion
Your use of data is governed by our Privacy Policy. You have the right to delete your account at any time, which will trigger our "Cloud Wipe" data erasure protocol.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EVENT HORIZON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
