Account & Data Deletion
PROTECTING YOUR RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN
At Event Horizon, we believe you should have total control over your digital existence. We provide multiple ways to permanently delete your account and all associated data.
1. In-App Deletion (Recommended)
The fastest and most secure way to delete your data is directly within the application. This ensures your local device data and cloud-synced data are purged simultaneously.
- Open Event Horizon on your Android device.
- Navigate to Settings (gear icon in the top right).
- Scroll down to the Account section.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion. Your account will be signed out and all data will be purged immediately.
2. Partial Data Deletion (Without Account Deletion)
If you wish to retain your account and subscription but purge specific data points (such as your Routine History or Cloud Sync data), you have two options:
- In-App: You can delete any individual routine or task directly from the main dashboard. This will immediately purge that item from your local device and our cloud servers.
- Cloud Wipe Request: You may request a complete purge of your cloud-synced performance metrics and routine configurations while keeping your account active. Please email hello@geteventhorizon.app with the subject "Partial Data Deletion Request".
3. Web/Manual Account Deletion Request
If you have already uninstalled the application or cannot access your device, you may request a manual deletion of your cloud-synced data.
Please email hello@geteventhorizon.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". You must send this email from the email address associated with your Event Horizon account.
Upon verification, our team will process your request within 7 business days.
4. What Data is Deleted?
When you initiate an account deletion, the following data is permanently and irreversibly purged:
- Authentication Data: Your Google Sign-In or Email/Password credentials and unique User ID.
- Cloud Synchronized Data: All routines, tasks, locations, and settings stored in our encrypted Firestore databases.
- Local Storage: Your local SQLite database containing all routine history and timing data.
- Subscription Metadata: Your identity and entitlement history within our subscription management system (RevenueCat).
Note: We may retain anonymized, non-identifiable performance data or records of financial transactions as required by law or for tax purposes.
5. Data Retention
If your account remains inactive for more than 24 months, we reserve the right to purge your cloud-synced data to maintain system efficiency. You will be notified via your registered email address 30 days prior to any such deletion.
