Event Horizon ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and disclosed by Event Horizon.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Data

  • Email Address & Name: We collect your email address and name when you sign in via Google or create an account via Email/Password. This information is essential for account management and synchronization of your data across devices.
  • User Identifiers: We use unique internal identifiers (Firebase UID) to securely map your routines and tasks to your account.

1.2 Sensitive Data (Location)

  • Precise Location: Event Horizon collects precise location data (Latitude, Longitude, and Altitude) to enable the "Location Gating" feature.
  • Background Usage: This information is accessed while the app is in the background specifically to trigger or suppress routines based on your physical location.
  • Storage: We do not store a persistent history of your movements. Location data is stored locally as part of your "Gating Rules" and synchronized to your private cloud database for cross-device consistency.

1.3 Financial Data

  • Purchase History: We process information related to your subscription status and purchase history via Google Play Billing and RevenueCat to provide access to "Event Horizon Pro" features.

1.4 App Activity & Performance

  • Interactions: We collect information about your interactions with the app (e.g., routine completions) via Firebase Analytics to help us improve the user experience.
  • Crashes: We collect technical crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose and fix software bugs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Event Horizon application.
  • Securely synchronize your routines and tasks across devices.
  • Enable location-aware routine execution (Location Gating).
  • Manage your premium subscription status.
  • Diagnose technical issues and provide customer support.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with third-party service providers as necessary to provide app functionality:

  • Google (Firebase/Maps): For authentication, cloud synchronization, analytics, crash reporting, and address lookup.
  • RevenueCat: For subscription management and purchase verification.
  • Reclaim.ai (Optional): If you explicitly enable the Reclaim.ai integration, routine names and durations are shared with Reclaim.ai to create calendar habits.

4. Your Rights and Choices

4.1 Data Access and Portability

You can access your routines and tasks directly through the application interface.

4.2 Account Deletion (Right to be Forgotten)

Event Horizon provides a "Delete Account" feature in the Settings menu. Initiating this process will:

  1. Permanently delete your authentication record and login credentials.
  2. Wipe your local SQLite database data.
  3. Permanently delete all synchronized routines, tasks, and locations from our Cloud Firestore databases.
  4. Remove your identity from our subscription management service (RevenueCat).

4.3 Location Permissions

You can disable location access at any time through your device's system settings. Note that "Location Gating" features will cease to function if permissions are revoked.

5. Security

We implement HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit. Your synchronized data is stored in Firebase, which utilizes industry-standard security protocols to protect your information at rest.

6. Children's Privacy

Event Horizon is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy within the app or on our website at geteventhorizon.app/privacy.
